So we’ve had the last week off of work, we closed the site, packed up the van loaded up the dogs and went to West Sussex for a few days to relax, catch up with family and eat so much food! Highly recommended @thelambshipton for a gf fish and chips, haven’t had battered fish for years!
We are now recharged and ready to crack on with the shop expansion. But first paperwork and emails!
Well that’s it, we are now closed for the season, I’ve done my best to sum up the year in a quick (ish) reel, it took lots of editing because it was mainly sunsets and highland cows, but I think i managed it, from new driveways, planting, electric hook ups at the beginning of the year to refurbishing the toilet block and making the shop bigger at the end of the season.
We’ve got big plans for next year, more events, definitely doing another women’s weekend and a vintage vehicle weekend, plus a built not bought weekend, keep an eye out for dates. And big news, we will have a permanent food truck serving breakfast and dinner, but more on that another time, really excited about this though!!!
Thank you to everyone who came and stayed with us this year, we had the best season, every year the site gets better and better and that isn’t just our hard work it’s the support from you guys. Love you all, from all of us at Little Roadway
There’s no stopping us, yesterday morning we ripped out the old counter. Took a bit of swearing, a bit of chit chat, some whacking with a lump hammer but we got it out.
Well the weather has been a bit pants this October half term, it’s been a real dodge the showers week, but we are still open but you’ll have to be quick Friday is our last day, the 31st October.
A few weeks ago I got a chance to face my fear, I hate heights, can’t look out the window of a tall building, won’t sit in the window seat on a plane, but I was given the opportunity to do this and my instinct was to say no, but I said yes. So I went floating through the sky like a little cloud with Sam from Fly like a Bird.
“Thinking will not overcome fear, but action will”
It was incredible, the silence up there was so calming, I felt so at peace.
Throughout November I am taking on the @su2cuk sweat for 30 minutes everyday.
If you know my back story you will know that last year I had my own cancer story, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2024, I went through 6 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and 5 cycles of radiotherapy, I was given the all clear on the 31st October, so I want to give back and urs a great motivation to get my fitness back.
If you can donate that would be appreciated, if you can’t then do me a favour and make sure you know you’re body, once a month give it a good going over, check your breasts, balls, that mole that may have changed shape. Early diagnosis is key.

We have knocked through the kitchen and our old stock room which will be incorporated into the old shop, that’s going to be HUGE, it’s more than double the size. I cannot wait to fill it with all the pretty things, you know I will, it will be rammed to the rafters!

So if you’ve been following our stories you will have seen the progress on the toilet block refurbishment, of the ‘old block’ for those that haven’t here is just a little teaser of how it looks, we have pretty much finished it but won’t be doing a big reveal until next spring.
For now we have a shop renovation to crack on with, big big plans for the shop!!! Keep an eye on our stories to see the progress.
So we had planned to hold a car boot every Sunday until we close, however no one has turned up to sell today, not a single person, so we have decided to cancel it, for now. But next year we will hold one at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year.
Let’s do this again, the weathers looking nice so this Sunday, car boot 10-1pm sellers from 9am buyers from 10am.
Our onsite shop will also be open selling breakfast baps, fresh coffee from @horizoncoffeeroastery and cakes also all of our shop stock is 20% off (not cakes, coffees and baps) but cider, wine, snacks, drinks, beanies and so much more.
Everyday we are getting closer and closer to finishing the refurbishment on the toilet block. We need to get it done asap because Simon and Bentley leave in a week and we have other big plans to crack on with.
