Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this, it’s crazy to say but you guys aren’t just customers you’re all friends that have not just supported me, but the whole family as I went through this. The kind words, the flowers, the messages have been incredible.
I do have on going treatment to get through but the worst is over and my body responded to it amazingly. Which means I can start living life to the fullest and you’ll see more of my face next year!!!!
And to everyone please please be aware of your body, know what is normal for you, check those breasts on the first of the month, not just you ladies but you men, men get breast cancer too, if it’s not your normal then don’t hesitate to get it checked out with your doctor.
Now we’re going to enjoy winter, try and get a sunny holiday somewhere and make some amazing memories.
Look at all these pretty flowers that we have on site, I can’t believe it’s nearly November and we still have flowers on site!
Oh and while I’m here I’m thinking of hosting a crafting weekend in June, bring along your own crafts and sit in a field with like minded people and have an opportunity to learn new crafts. What do you think? Would you like to do something like this, what crafts would you like to have a go at?
Yesterday the weather was glorious, in fact the whole weekend has been. So yesterday we decided to go on a lovely walk, we had decided to go somewhere different but with a dog that hates being in a car we decided to go somewhere closer to home!
So Bull Point lighthouse was chosen, if you’ve never been you have to go, I’ve seen prettier lighthouses, however the coastline walking back to Mortehoe is just stunning especially on a blue sky day, we didn’t go all the way round Morte Point, because my fitness isn’t quite there yet, we’ll save that for another day.
Well I’m glad we’re not open now!!! Not sure if our shop and toilet block will survive let alone a tent!!! 🤣
On a serious note though I cannot imagine how the people of Florida are dealing with hurricane Milton. I just hope that everyone in Florida gets through this.
I’m not going to sugar coat it, this year has been shitty shitty shitty, it started off in the worst way imaginable suddenly losing my mum in January and then me being diagnosed with breast cancer in April, however the love and support that has been shown from all of our campers has been incredible, you guys are just amazing, the kind words, the hugs, the flowers we never expected to receive any of this and it just goes to show the friendships that we make with our campers,we appreciate you all so so much.
We want to say a massive thank you to our incredible wardens Bentley and Simon, they joined us this year and were throughly thrown into the deep end and just took it in their stride, and good news is that it didn’t put them off and they will be back with us next year!!
We are now going to take some well earned rest, we will try and get a holiday with the kids, dads planning a road trip in his motor home around Scotland in November 🥶 then in the new year we will start getting the site ready for 2025.
Thank you again for all the support and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025.
October is here which means we are starting to wind down for the season (we close on the 6th October) and that also means more time for those beautiful walks that we are surrounded by, this bench is my favourite spot, because if you walk up from the beach (closer to Puttsborough end) you know it’s there to sit and take a breather, it’s a steep climb walking to here!! But that view, surely this has to be the best view of Puttsborough/Woolacombe.
Sundays are all about roast dinners and family time.
Yesterday we popped up to @depot_eatery for a Sunday lunch, and I’ve gotta say you definitely get your monies worth, 1/2 a roast chicken I’m proteined right up!!!!
Oh and mine was completely gluten free, the only things I didn’t have that everyone else did have was a yorkie pudding and creamy cheese leeks.
If you’ve wondered just how big our electric pitches are then this should help, this beautiful rig was parked up with us a couple of days ago, and well she’s not small!
As you can see to the left there is a huge amount of space you could fit a whole other one of these there, that’s how big our electric pitches they are about 30 foot. Some are bigger and some also have their own separate parking space for a car.
You can choose your own pitch when you book the description and size for each pitch is on our website.
Oh and if this can get to us then you know it’s an accessible road!!! Don’t be telling me the road to us is hairy when you’re driving a T5!!! (As long as you take the right road!) oh and on that note the main road from Braunton to Ilfracombe is shut, for ages, it’s causing chaos so follow the tourist signs from the A361!!!
